I was raised by a community and family of strong, inspiring women. Everything I am, I owe to them. At MIT and beyond, they enabled me to pursue my dreams, working on nuclear fusion reactors and drone fleets. However, these engineering environments ignored women's health issues, offering no solutions. Witnessing the women in my family diminished by menopause, I decided enough was enough. I left my job at GoogleX to build an engineering team focused on menopause, aiming to unlock women's full potential.
What a journey it has been. I teamed up with some of the brightest minds from MIT and beyond, sharing the motivation to create solutions for the women who have supported us. We started prototyping in a basement, even testing it on ourselves with ghost peppers to simulate hot flashes. After developing a working prototype, we moved to Silicon Valley, pitching our vision of a new age technology for women’s health to investors. Despite many considering women's health niche, we raised $4 million, bringing our invention to women worldwide.
It is the honor of a lifetime to serve the women who give so much, providing them the sleep they need to be their most vital selves.
